It is a big weekend for television with both X-factor and Strictly Come Dancing having a Halloween theme. Expect to see lots of Halloween Costumes and possibly some scary performances from the likes of weak voiced Frankie Cocozza and eccentric Johnny Robinson and some zombie like footwork from Nancy Dell'ollio on Strictly.

The Walking Dead is a new television programme created from a series of comic books by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard. The American post-apocalyptic horror was adapted in to a television series by Frank Darabont and is now working on it's third series after some extremely positive reviews.

So, to set the seen for you, an American wakes from a coma to find everyone missing. His name is Rick Grimes and he is a Sheriff's deputy from a small town in Georgia. The world has been taken over by zombies and finding humans that are live and well is a tricky task. Rick Grimes wants to find his family but surviving the zombies for any length of time proves to be nearly impossible. He hears a rumour about their whereabouts and sets off to make them safe!

The series is receiving rave reviews from all directions so of course the wave of The Walking Dead Fancy Dress and zombie costumes will undoubtedly follow.

Despite those amazing Oompa Loompa costumes, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory wasn't always a huge success from the beginning. Infact, Mel Stuart's film adaptation of Roald Dahl's, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory was a bit of a box office flop in 1971. It wasn't until it was showed on TV numerous times and released on home video that it really caught on. Over the years the chocolate factory has never faded and in many ways was getting more an more popular as each generation continued to enjoy it.

In 2005, Tim Burton got his hands on the storyline and directed a re-make starring his favoured actor Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka. This brought the popular story to an even bigger and more current audience who may have then gone in search for the original film and loved that too.
