Haye Vs Klitschko, Hayemaker Vs Dr. Steelhammer, Boxing Fancy Dress Vs British Costumes

The biggest and most competitive heavyweight boxing match of my adult life is taking place at the Imtech Arena, Hamburg, Germany on the 2nd of July 2011. The match sees Britain's finest heavyweight boxer David Haye up against the younger of the two Ukrainian Klitschko brothers who have ruled the heavyweight division for a while now. There are four belts on the line for this fight which are the WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO belts. Wladimir Klitschko is putting three on the line and David Haye is putting the other one. We know they wear big fancy dress style shorts but we can't see that four belts are necessary to keep them up!

The experts are finding the outcome of this fight a hard one to call, with both fighters not having the best of jaws but both packing some serious power in their punches. It looks like this fight could see a knock down or two. Haye is the faster and more agile of the two but Klitschko has much more experience at this weight and is famous for his powerful and frustrating jab that can break his opponent down.

Grandad Just Needs Batman Fancy Dress To Complete His Look

For some great Grandfather's a mobility scooter just isn't cool enough. For retired Construction Worker, Brian Vann it seems anything less than the Batmobile just doesn't cut it. The 74 year old spent weeks transforming his dull and lifeless mobility Scooter into something that has made him famous in the local town.

Brian Vann said “People drive past in their cars and stop when they see me, get out, and ask for a photo. I've had loads of people tell me how much they like the scooter.” He added “ I feel like a bit of a celebrity - I know how the Beckhams must feel when I go out in my Batmobile. It's a bit of a laugh and if it brings a smile to people's faces, then it's done the job.”

Emperor Takes A Wrong Turn – Penguin Fancy Dress

Earlier this week an Emperor Penguin turned up on a beach in New Zealand. The penguin had somehow made it over 3000km from it's home in Antarctica and ended up about 60 kilometres north of Wellington. The penguin was first spotted by Christine Wilton, a local resident, whilst she was walking her dog. Christine let the authorities know about the penguin once she had decided that her eyes weren't playing tricks on her and that it wasn't just a child in Penguin fancy dress. The Department of Conservation called in a vet and an emperor penguin expert from a University to monitor the penguin.

The penguin who was named “Happy Feet” by Christine, appeared to be confused whilst on the beach and started to eat the sand. Experts believe this is because when a penguin gets too hot in the Antarctica it eats snow to cool down. The sand was blocking the penguins throat along with driftwood and twigs it was also trying to consume, the penguin was beginning to shows signs of serious distress and was becoming less mobile.

Killer Shark Costume Seen Off The Coast Of Cornwall

With two sightings of a mysterious and rather large shark 1-mile off the coast of popular beaches in Cornwall, a bit of panic has started to circulate around the area. A fisherman was simply doing his morning trip to catch some mackerel and he looked over the side of his boat and noticed a large shadow heading straight for the boat. The fisherman who knows his sharks pretty well wasn't sure which type of shark it was until it bumped straight into the boat and came out of the water slightly, revealing a large fin with a white tip. His mind was made up, this shark was the notorious man-killing oceanic Whitetip shark. The fisherman couldn't quite believe it but radioed near by boats to let them know and went back to shore to report what he had just seen. The same day another fisherman spotted the killer shark and confirmed that it was an oceanic whitetip shark.

International Surfing Day celebrations at Porthmeor beach, St. Ives, Cornwall involved a fancy dress competition. Keen surfer Martyn Tarplee had an idea and was willing to pester members of his family to help him turn his idea in to a great fancy dress costume.

Bestival Fancy Dress Theme Is A Hit!

The Fancy Dress world's favourite music festival, Bestival, at Isle of Wight's Robin Hill Country Park is back on the 8th of September with another superb fancy dress theme. This year will see thousands of Rock Stars, Pop Stars and Divas roll up to the fancy dress festival hoping to win a lifetime of Bestival tickets. Simply send a pic of yourself in your costume to the judges before the festival and you will be in with a chance.

Judging this year's fancy dress competition, sees some legends of the fancy dress world, the Village People! There really is nobody better to judge fancy dress than the group that dress up in costume everytime they go on stage. Bestival founder, Rob da Bank said “They practically invented the genre so prepare to put some effort in to wow the cowboy, impress the policeman or win over the Red Indian with your best Rock Star, Pop Star or Diva fancy dress".

In the past the Bestival fancy dress competitions have been judged by the likes of Lily Allen and La Roux with themes like Out of Space and Fantasy.

Get Yourself To Murray's Mount In Wimbledon Fancy Dress

Wimbledon, the oldest and most important tennis tournament is due to start on Monday the 20th of June. The weather forecast isn't looking great for the next 10 days so it will be interesting to see just how much tennis gets played in the first week of the only lawn tennis grand slam.

Just like past years, Britain's main hopes of winning Wimbledon rest with Scotland's Andy Murray. A British player hasn't won the men's single title since 1936, when Fred Perry was victorious. Andy Murray is seeded fourth for this year's Wimbledon tournament behind Rafa Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic and in the first round will face Daniel Grimeno-Traver who is ranked 56th in the world.

Shrek The Musical Hits The West End

Shrek was a huge success when released in cinemas in 2001. Whilst watching it first time round it became obvious from an early point that this was a story that wouldn't be lost into oblivion like so many other animated stories. Shrek was different despite having the main plot of a story we all know, the makers managed to create something completely unique.

The transformation from a film to a musical production hasn't been the swiftest by any means but it was something that needed to be done right, especially if it was going to feature in London's prestigious West End. Finding the right cast is crucial and the Producers and Director's decided on Nigel Lindsay to wear the Shrek Fancy Dress Costume as the lead, Richard Blackwood as the unwanted accomplice, Donkey, Amanda Holden as the beautiful royal Princess Fiona and the odd choice of 5ft 10” Nigel Harman as the annoying Lord Farquaad.

Western Movie True Grit Released On DVD

There was much talk about the highly anticipated western re-make, True Grit when it's premiere date was released. This film had everything it needed to be a complete box office smash, a huge popular cast, great directors in the Coen Brothers and a great plot to re-master and tackle from a slightly new angle.
